Wanting To Be Cool, Having To Be Funny (stylised W2BCH2BF) is an alternative comedy night hosted by Jack Shep. Favouring cult music venues The George Tavern and Deptford’s Piehouse Co-op, Jack would rather his audiences form a circle pit than chuckle. It’s hardcore fun with a smoking area out the back.

In his own words: “Just when you though you’d escaped the only comedy night brave enough to ask intellectual sex questions, we return to the GT for another night of explorative movement AKA Comedy. with almost every comedian at the edinburgh fringe, London is surely healing… but we managed to find 5 freaks still in the city to make sure it stays a little fucked up down here… karaoke after until late ofc”
